Three-day event gives founders and activists a hands-on introduction to blockchain technology, so they harness it to expedite societal change

Phoenix-based Polyient Labs, an early-stage, blockchain-startup incubator, is co-sponsoring Blockchain for Good, October 25 -27, 2019 in San Francisco.

The three-day event gives community-minded founders and organizers an overview of blockchain technology as well as insights into how the technology can be harnessed to help nonprofits hit their social-impact goals. The agenda includes keynote speakers and workshops where participants can pitch ideas, build teams and get real-world feedback from industry experts on their proposed solutions.

Best of all, the top-three top pitches will be awarded prizes – including exclusive coaching sessions with Polyient mentors.

For Polyient CEO, Brad Robertson, connecting purpose-driven initiatives to blockchain technology is a natural fit. He knows firsthand that launching and managing a successful nonprofit is a never-ending challenge.

“Blockchain is being deployed across a spectrum of industries, but the nonprofit sector is one area where the technology can really add value,” says Robertson. “Most nonprofits operate on shoestring budgets and are fueled by blood, sweat and tears. Every day, they fight to get discovered, improve internal efficiencies, provide transparency and earn recognition. Blockchain can help deliver on all four fronts.”

But, Robertson adds, non-technical NPO executives will also benefit from participating in Blockchain for Good. Sign up for the event here – http://communities.techstars.com/usa/san-francisco/startup-weekend/15241
