ATLANTA, Ga. — M2SYS Technology, an award-winning biometric technology research and development firm, announced today that it has finalized an agreement with ACS Technologies, the leading provider of information management solutions to nearly 50,000 churches, schools, and other faith-based organizations. Through the terms of the agreement, ACS Technologies will be offering Bio-SnapON™, a robust biometric identification system developed by M2SYS, to its customers. Bio-SnapON™ seamlessly interfaces M2SYS’ proven, enterprise-ready biometric software with each ACS Technologies application without requiring any code-level development effort.
ACS Technologies customers can retrieve member profile information with a single finger scan on a M2SYS fingerprint reader or finger vein scanner, eliminating the need for passwords, barcodes, and PINs.
“We carefully evaluated a number of biometric software providers,” states Marvin Owen, vice president of ACS Technologies, “and ultimately chose M2SYS because of their ease of adoption, robust functionality, and competitive pricing structure. We are excited about bringing this technology to our customers and giving them the ability to use biometrics to better manage their membership, enhance security, and improve operations. Plus, we believe that the addition of a biometric component to our products will give us great competitive advantage in the marketplace. As technology continues to rapidly move forward, we know that partnerships like the one we have developed with M2SYS will help our clients – some of the most technologically savvy organizations in the country – continue to reach their ministry goals.”
“ACS Technologies is the faith-based software industry leader and we are thrilled to have an opportunity to work closely with them and their customers,” states Michael Trader, president of M2SYS. “We are seeing significant increases in demand for biometric technology with faith-based organizations as they start to understand the benefits, including improved attendance tracking, enhanced security, and the elimination of passwords and PIN numbers. Because no image of the fingerprint is stored, their security fears are also being diminished. The future is definitely bright for biometric technology at churches and other faith-based organizations.”
Several ACS Technologies customers are already realizing significant benefits from Bio-SnapON(TM). The product was officially launched in May at the ACS Technologies national convention where hundreds come each year to deepen their software expertise.
